We at SBRKY want our charges to be placed in the best possible
home for that dog. In order to adopt a new family member from us you
will need to go through the application process and have all references
checked. You will be asked to make a non refundable donation of $10
to defray the cost of checking these references as they will more than
likely be long distance calls. Your application can not be processed
without the payment of the donation, as we have no paid employees
and do not wish to cause undo costs on our precious volunteers.

copy which will contain your signatures for our records.
2. Also fill out the online form and submit the completed form to us via
the link below the form.
3. Click the donation button which will take you to the PayPal account
for SBRKY and make your $10 donation. As soon as we receive the
confirmation of your payment, your application will be processed and
all references checked. Please remember that our volunteers will
process your application as quickly as they can but it is a time
consuming thing and they all have families and jobs.
4. We require that all adoptive applicants join our SBRKY groups list
so that we can all get to know one another. We specialize in Puppy Mill
dogs and it is there that we offer help and support for those who adopt
our Pups who come from the Mills. You will not be considered to adopt
unless you join this group as it is part of our network of support for
these pups we all love so dearly and we can help with any issues you
might have with your new family member. It takes a very special person
to deal with these very special dogs.
5. You will be contacted by someone from our group for an interview
by phone. This will usually be done by the foster mom who knows the
dog and his/her needs the best as they are living with them.
6. We will arrange for your home visit to be sure your home is safe
and comfortable for your new family member. Safety is always a
concern that is looked at very closely for these little ones.
7. When you are approved and your adoption fee is paid, you will be
able to welcome your new family member into your home. You will need
to work out the transportation of the pup to your home. WE DO NOT
SHIP OUR RESCUES.
